"Inexpensive solutions.  Not cheap ones."

November 7th, 2017

WOW!!!  Over two years since my last update.  Obviously, I have not spent a lot of time working on anything related to AmberLab.ca.  Life at work and at home have been at the forefront.  The website was out of commission for quite a while.  I only got it working a few minutes ago.  :)

I am pretty much where I left off in October 2015.  I have done some recent development on my applications, but there is still quite a bit of work to do before things happen.  The good news is that the bug in Windows 10 that I had two years ago was fixed in early 2016.  I have used it on a personal level since and it is working flawlessly.  More to come!!

October 7th, 2015

September was a busy month and October appears to be as well, both personally and professionally.  I have not been able to spend much time on programming at home.  Too much to do and so little time to do it.

I have not made much progress on the programming front since my last update.  There is still a bug related to Windows 10 with one of the applications.  If I do not make an progress with it I will just launch it as-is for previous Windows platforms.

I am on vacation next week.  If all goes well, I should be able to launch the applications by November 1st.  There is still some administrative work to complete, but it should be doable.  Look for another update as it gets closer to November 1st.

August 25th, 2015

I am getting ready to launch the first two applications to the general public.  Prepare for an announcement in the next few weeks.  There is a small bug in one of the applications related to Windows 10.  The software is fully functional with previous versions of Windows back to Windows Vista, but I want to have it ready for use with all versions since then.  We will see how things go.

I am still wrestling with what type of __x__ware model (eg. donationware, shareware, etc) I will follow.   Anyone contributing some sort of donation or payment will receive a custom license key.  This file can be used with all __x__ware releases now and in the future.

At some point I will start development of PRO editions of the software.  These will be commercial applications and will require a license key for full use of the products.  However, this will be some time down the road.  I have to walk before I can run.    :)

July 21st, 2015

It has been a pretty busy couple of months.  I have not had a lot of time to work on the website itself. I thought I should probably provide some sort of update just to show everyone the site is still active.

I have been busy writing code for a couple of applications. I hope to be able to make them available in September as "donationware".  With a mimimum donation (yet to be determined) I will provide you a license file that you simply copy in to the same folder as the donationware application.

The idea behind the donation is to provide me an incentive to continue to develop the applications and/or create new applications.  If you appreciate the software I have created, show me some appreciation with a donation and tell your friends about it.

Thank you for visiting our website.   It is currently undergoing renovations.  Hopefully it will be fully operational in the next few weeks.  Please come back and check to see the progress.
